FishBear Sports HUGE college pick'em-WITH UPDATES

Come one, come all and test your might against the mind of FishBear. Each week, we'll pick the winners of the Top-25 football games, along with any other notable games of my choosing. Want to play? Post your picks in the comments (scores optional) and see how you stack up against the FishBear.

The games:

Top 25

Georgia Southern at No.1 Georgia
This one will be ugly despite the fact that Georgia Southern is one of the best FCS teams in the nation
FishBear's pick: Georgia 48, Georgia Southern 9
RESULT: Georgia 45, Georgia Southern 21 CORRECT

Youngstown State at No.2 Ohio State
Ohio State coach Jim Tressel won't take it too easy on the team he led to 4 I-AA championship titles
FishBear's pick: Ohio State 42, Youngstown State 10
RESULT: Ohio State 43, Youngstown State 0-CORRECT

No.3 USC at Virginia
Mark Sanchez, rebounding from a back injury and a past as a suspected rapist, looks to lead USC to glory. It's great that you can do that at USC.
FishBear's pick: USC 35, Virginia 10
RESULT: USC 52, Virginia 7 -CORRECT

Chattanooga at No.4 Oklahoma
No, really, Chattanooga is a real college and everything. There's even a football team! Sort of. They're a shitty FCS team and only return nine starters. This should be a close game.
FishBear's pick: Oklahoma 55, Chattanooga 0
RESULT- Oklahoma 57, Chattanooga 2 -CORRECT

Hawaii at No.5 Florida
Dreamboat QB Tim Tebow, when not saving babies and bedding women, is actually a pretty good player.
FishBear's pick: Florida 40, Hawaii 20
RESULT: Florida 56, Hawaii 10-CORRECT

No.20 Illinois at No.6 Missouri
Easily the best game of week one.
FishBear's pick: Missouri 35, Illinois 27
RESULT: Missouri 52, Illinois 42- CORRECT

Appalachian State at No.7 LSU
Appalachian State isn't going to catch anyone by surprise this year and LSU is much better than most people seem to think. Blowout city.
FishBear's pick: LSU 44, Appalachian State 10
RESULT: LSU 41, Appalachian State 13 CORRECT

Villanova at No.8 West Virginia
If this was basketball, Villanova might have a shot
FishBear's pick: West Virginia 49, Villanova 16
RESULT: West Virginia 48, Villanova 21- CORRECT

No.24 Alabama at No.9 Clemson
Alabama QB John Parker Wilson is best known as being that kid on the MTV show "Two-a-Day's"'s older brother. Sucks.
FishBear's pick: Clemson 23, Alabama 19
RESULT: Alabama 34, Clemson 10-WRONG

UL-Monroe at No.10 Auburn
UL-Monroe is the shittiest name for a school ever. Might as well be Shitstain University
FishBear's pick: Auburn 37, UL-Monroe 13
RESULT: Auburn 34, UL-Monroe 0 -CORRECT

Florida Atlantic at No.11 Texas
FAU's coach said Texas wasn't "tough". Good thinking coach.
FishBear's pick: Texas 60, FAU 20
RESULT: Texas 52, FAU 10- CORRECT

Eastern Washington at No.12 Texas Tech
Eastern is a legitimate FCS championship contender, as well as being the Harvard of the state of Washington. QB Matt Nichols went for 34 touchdowns and only nine picks last season. But the Eags are playing a ridiculous schedule (at TT, at Colorado) and the Red Raiders are good, really good and have too much in the passing game for EWU's defensive secondary.
FishBear's pick: Teas Tech 42, Eastern Washington 21
RESULT: Texas Tech 49, Eastern Washington 22- CORRECT

Akron at No.13 Wisconsin
FishBear's pick: Wisconsin 45, Akron 7
RESULT: Wisconsin 38, Akron 17- CORRECT

Florida International at No.14 Kansas
Mark Mangino is fat
FishBear's pick: Kansas 45, FIU 0
RESULT: Kansas 40, FIU 10 - CORRECT

Northern Arizona at No.15 Arizona State
FishBear's pick: Arizona State 39, Northern Arizona 7
RESULT: Arizona State 30, Northern Arizona 13 - CORRECT

Northern Iowa at No.16 BYU
FishBear's pick: BYU 41, Northern Iowa 21
RESULT: BYU 41, Northern Iowa 17- CORRECT

East Carolina at No.17 Virginia Tech
FishBear's pick: Virginia Tech 29, East Carolina 3
RESULT: Eastern Carolina 27, Virginia Tech 22- WRONG

No.18 Tennessee at UCLA
FishBear's pick: Tennessee 35, UCLA 28
RESULT: UCLA 27, Tennessee 24 (OT)-WRONG

University of Tennesee-Martin at No.19 South Florida
FishBear's pick: USF 44, UTM 10
RESULT: USF 56, UTM 17 - CORRECT

Washington at No.21 Oregon
Oregon took a huge hit in the loss of QB Nate Costa to a knee injury in practice last week. Jake Locker probably won't be 100 percent with his hammy. Mike Belotti is a racist.
FishBear's pick: Oregon 35, Washington 20
RESULT: Oregon 44, Washington 10 - CORRECT

Coastal Carolina at No.22 Penn State
FishBear's pick: Penn State 47, Coastal Carolina 9
RESULT: Penn State 66, Coastal Carolina 10 CORRECT

No.23 Wake Forest at Baylor
FishBear's pick: Wake Forest 30, Baylor 19
RESULT: Wake Forest 41, Baylor 13 CORRECT

Bowling Green at No.25 Pittsburgh
FishBear's pick: Pittsburgh 21, Bowling Green 15
RESULT: Bowling Green 27, PIttsburgh 17 WRONG

Other games:

Oklahoma State vs. Washington State at Qwest Field
FishBear's pick: WSU 23, Oklahoma State 21 in an upset.
Oklahoma State 38, WSU 12 - WRONG

Western Kentucky at Indiana
FishBear's pick: Indiana 23, Western Kentucky 16
RESULT: Indiana 31, Western Kentucky 13 CORRECT

Make your picks chumps.

Dear Mr. FishBear,

On behalf of JournalismJuicers, I would like to say that it's very "arcady" to say that all but a couple games will result in a cumulative score of 50+ points.

And upset city will be Bowling Green vs Pitt.

And Wulff beating a D-1 team? Hasn't happened and never will. WSU will lose by over three touchdowns and you'll see him on TV:

"Well, we just didn't execute. It was a great learning process, it was a good first look at the team playing against a team that really executed on both sides of the ball and we're going to go back to the drawing board and really just work on execution next week."

I'd like to make all the same picks as you, fishbear. BUT: I'm going Alabama over Clemson. Write that one down.

Go cougs (for what it's worth)

Wow Fishbear, you must have a lot of time on your hands between NCAA '09 dynasty games and high school football previews. No way I'm going to go through all those games. Have to disagree with a one of them, though. As cool as it would be to see Eastern put up 21 on TT, think the score will probably be a little closer to 56-3. Hate to go against my fellow CWU alum Beau Baldwin, but that's a tough task. And, how the hell did that schedule pan out? Texas Tech, Colorado, then Western Washington?! Guess Baldwin couldn't go a season without kicking Western's ass.
