The Blackhawks weren't off to a great start. 1-3 is no laughing matter, but it's not the end of the world.
Well that's not how Chicago operates. Only four games into the season, Chicago has fired Denis Savard and has named Joel Quenneville as it's new head coach.
It's a move not without controversy - the timing is particularly interesting, as well as the whole issue of Savard's place with the club. Savard starred as a player with Chicago for 10 seasons.
It looks to be the quickest firing in NHL history: Detroit fired Doug Barkley after 11 games in 1975 and the Canucks fired Bill LaForge in '84-85 after 20 games.
So what do you think? Was it the wrong time to fire Savard?
